What a year so far.....

Hello everyone,

Well what a year it has been! It started off with me having a minor operation and then I went on to contract a small infection and then a BIG Chest infection..... have been ill for months, but think I am finally on the mend!

So my first craft fair for the year was on the first Saturday in May and my next 2 are this coming weekend.. Need to get myself back in the flow as feel out of sorts since Christmas.  Therefore I am open to business again for any orders/requests you may have.

Hope everyone is well and keep an eye out as my blog will finally be taking off again....

2012 Wedding Trends

I have been scouring the internet over the last few days to get an idea of what the theme seems to be for 2012 brides...........  Glamour, and glitz are the main common element, along with a little DIY in there.... It seems a lot of you are now enjoying creating some of your wedding items yourself, such as invitations and favours.  As well as saving money, it is adding that special personal touch!

So the main themes of the year:
Hollywood glamour
Boho chic/glamour
Vintage style
Oscars/Red carpet glitz

These styles are incorporated into the brides dress and accessories.

The usual 3 tier cake is being replaced more and more nowadays for cupcakes, imaginative and unusual 3 tiers, as well as cookie towers.. A new trend of stacking cookies in cupcake cases with frosted icing.. (yum yum)

Coffee tables served by a barista and sweets tables are another theme that a lot of people are having, giving that unusual whilst slightly more elegant feel to your after dinner drink.

So now you have a few ideas you can have fun with the design of your wedding.

HAPPY NEW YEAR......

Well, Christmas has flown by and it's now 2012... When did that happen.. I still remember the turn of the millennium so clearly, yet another 12 years have gone by!! (scary)

Hope everyone had a fabulous time, and Santa visited you all...

Merry Christmas Everyone.......

Well, it's that time of year again.. Sorry I have not been on here much but I have been so busy with craft fairs, and things to do with the school and my little man.. I don't know where the time has gone!

However, I am now shutting down for the year as I have an operation coming up and my son's birthday as well as Christmas.... So here is a little ditty to leave you all with... A poem I have created myself.. (I am not a natural poet.. and don't I know it!! ) LOL

When it's cold outside, and the snow is falling
You'd better get ready, won't be long till Santa is calling


Christmas tree up, and the lights all a glow
mince pies baking, and the mulled wine a flow


With a silent night, and a ho ho ho
Lets get ready to go go go

So here's my wish, for this Christmas cheer
